Armored core 1 original: Whats the best AC setup?

Im totally stuck at the last mission where you must defeat Nineball. This mission has really been getting at me for years! What i want to know is what the best AC setup is to battle both nineballs so i can finally beat the game. Anyone who has beat this game please give me the AC setup you used. Thnx.

Admittedly anti-climactic, but just so you know, you can go right by, ignoring them both, and still successfully complete the game.

The only difference is that Nineball will still be present in the Raven rankings if you don't destroy both ACs.

If you still want to, I'd recommend trying to manipulate him into following you down into the small tunnel connecting those two vertical rooms. With no room to run or fly, it should be easy to pound him with high powered weapons(especially the MOONLIGHT blade, if you have it; he has one of the weaker blades equipped, so you should be able rip him apart in close combat fairly easily with air slashes from the MOONLIGHT without fear of serious reprisal).

HG512 and Moonlight works wonders on any AC.
