ACV: RoMAD [Test Build]

Postby Apollo » Tue May 15, 2012 3:12 am

Head: Galahad
Core: 10/L Agni -> Surt (Heavier, but less EN drain and all around more defense.)
Arms: Isari AM28S
Legs: Rainer
FCS: Glance -> Predire (Might switch back to Glance, will playtest [Prefer Glance].)
Gen: Ho-Vital
Booster: Burya -> Tempete (To counter-act the drain on the LR) -> Still playtesting Burya
Recon: URD-36/EA
RA: LR-81 Karasawa -> ULR-09/R (Spec RF) [or Mini-Sawa (Spec Power) - Will test how bad the EN drain is]
LA: Zinnia SG54 (Spec RF) -> Lotus (Spec Power)
Shoulders: Subcomputer/Dhanbad -> Arroz Opt. Chaff
RBay: Zinnia SG54 (Spec RF) -> KO-3K2 (Spec RF) (Hits harder than the Zinnia and travels farther, faster).
LBay: H.E.A.T. Pile Driver KO-4H2 -> Mifeng

_________________________________________

Total Weight: 6,908 -> 6,612
Stability: 1,021 -> 1,021
Turning: 700 -> 712
EN Rec: 5,023 -> 7,266

AP: 31,043 -> 31, 518
EN Cost: 12,007 -> 9,764
EN Output: 17,030 -> 17,030

__________________________________________

Notes: After running a hyper lw sniper to develop some piloting skills, I designed a slightly heavier mech. It lacks the tools for longer engagements and in particular is meant to close once, maybe twice, on an opponent and inflict as much damage in as little time as possible. It's somewhat nimble although too much rapid movement is hard on the EN gauge. 1v1 the mech performs well, although I would like to add in a ranged weapon(s) for extra distance. I am generally a far distance, engage, close, destroy kind of player.

Just wanted you guys to critique the build to perhaps add in some more movement capability, and perhaps more sustained firepower.

Forgive the dual Zinnias, I fell in love before I realized they were broke :?

Spot -> Charged Sawa -> Spam Sawa/Zinnia -> Rotate duel Zinnias on Rapid Fire.

__________________________________________________________________________

Updates:

It no longer really has the ridiculous power, but it gained AP, EN Rec, and about five times the ammuntion. The LR still hurts, the Shottie still hurts, and the Driver hurts. Something in the weapon rotation is going to get through.

Sounds good. Played more test runs. Needs longevity. Still playing matches.

Unholy amounts of damage, but the Zinnias/whole setup have trouble vs high KE obviously.

Thoughts: Get some slightly heftier legs and trade out the HEAT Driver (I lack proper piloting ability to effectively use it, thus negating any advantage. The idea was to save it for tanks.)

Chevalier doesn't represent public opinion. Most of us are against such broken weapons, but if you only use one of them at a time I imagine there's no harm that can come from it. Your hatemail is your business.

I represent my own opinion, and that's roughly it. Never claim to represent anyone else's opinion.
In regards to the AC picture. My eyes hurt now. ㄹㅁㅎㅎㅐt
I'm trying to tell what parts you're using, but the zebra paint + high gloss tv + camera flash is killing my eyes too much. I'll look at it slowly and in small parts.
Do I see a inverse photo, or is my iPhone screwing up?

A Battle Rifle would suit you better for CE damage output. Probably a 05/R or Lotus would suit that build better.
There's a more EN efficient and well-rounded Laser Rifle, it looks like a variant of the Shirshen Rifle. Specialize it for Rapid-Fire.
Since you're using quick-to-regular lock-on weapons, you don't really need the Subcomputer, pending suitable replacement.

I give you props for all-purpose design you're going for.

Swapping between SAWA and 09/R, went with the Glance - upon further notice the Lotus doesn't touch out that far when used with the Predire. Switched recon unit to Mentor IV for weight/drain purposes. Playtesting the Burya.

Try out the heat howitzer; the all purpose weapon. With a little practice, you can tag the predictable AC's at any range.

Will check it out, thanks. MetaMedBiped builds really get a solid screwing over right now IMHO. I have to whip out some excellent piloting to stand a chance against Dual anything. That and HRJ legs provide +AP, +STA, +ROF, +DEF and mobility is statistically the same lol.

Will do brother. Apparently the last patch that the NA ACV put out was announced the day before it came out. So...as of now no one from their company is saying anything, but I'd like a patch just to mix things up a little haha. 8)

Anywho, I'm always tinkering inbetween free battles, my LW sniper has put down some HRJ x2 Gat/Lotus types (HB backwards while re-re pilot sprays gats) :wink: It's the MiddleweightMetas that need a slight speed boost and I think the game would be even again. Either way, I'll probably look into some more shopwork tonight. I appreciate you being the forum's resident tech!

LOL, I don't know about resident tech.
There was no patch announcement. There was no patch. We've been 1.01 this entire time. There is no proof of word from Namco Bandai that there ever was otherwise. I'm still trying to find a picture or video of JP even being 1.03 for proof on that claim. From Software is no-longer a responsible party for Armored Core V NA and UK release, having fully given the reigns to Namco Bandai, who merely published the game, hosted the server, then left it. That's all there is.

Haha, sounds like it could be a while then.

Random google search, may not be relevant: http://armoredcoreuniverse.net/forum/in ... ch-103-jp/

If you wanted to try SUPER hard...go check out a vid of a JP game and wait for their screen to load and freeze frame/Cntrl + and zoom in on their patch serial number. But, that is a lot of effort.

I don't know if it's real or not the source is up to you, I just did a quick search, I think we'll get a patch eventually. Luckily I have enough going on it won't drive me crazy if we don't either lol. Something more OP than HRJ exists, the pilot just hasn't found it yet.
